He is only four, he is ridden and going well in a happy mouth loose ring jointed snaffle and good as gold. Jumping he is a little bit bolder and I could do with something just a twinge stronger, what would be the next step up for a babys mouth?
 
The YO always likes the KK loose ring bits with the peanut bit in the middle if thats the right term ( where the bit looks like it has two points) They always seem to enjoy it and it also helps them apparently.
 
Try a flash, if you start bitting up young horses they just get stronger as they get older. Teach him to respect what he has. Especially as you won't be jumping very big!
 
Defiently go with the flash idea hun, you really don't want to be putting stronger bits into them as they learn to pull on that and then you end up with strong horses.
