Orange one can sometimes get heavy in my hand and a bit leany. He can also get quite set in his neck and jaw. Transitions and lots of lateral work DO help with this, however I was wondering whether a change of bit might make him more comfortable.

He is currently in a Myler Eggbut Snaffle which is what he came with. I've never really thought of swapping him as I don't believe in a 'miracle bit' if you like and generally think heaviness/leaning is always a case of other things. Having said that, I know some bits give a nicer feel and can help somewhat.

I have been looking at a NS Verbidend loose ring.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks

Hey, I use the NS Verbidend loose ring on 2 of my boys and ive had really good results.
I bought one in the first place for a new horse who is 17hh so there is a lot of him. He had been a show jumper for a few years but didn't suit so I got him for dressage, so my problem was he had alway been ridden in big bits. Everything i tried he either leand on or tried to rear. It was a friend that recommed it to me and ive never looked back since. My other young horse also seams to realy like it!

The shape of the bit also seams to make it easier for horses with small mouths to cope with. Overall it seams to suit me and the work I wouldnt change back to previous bits.
Hope it helps
