Our part bred arab is quite light in the mouth and had always been ridden in a snaffle. We changed this to a french link snaffle when we got him as he is quite shallow in the mouth and I read this would be more comfortable for him. He goes well in this but we have been told a verbindend would be kinder. Although I am of the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' mindset generally I do want to make sure we are doing the best for him. I would be gratefull for any advice as am not at all knowledgable about bitting.:o

Have just ordered the NS Verbindend for my Warmblood gelding as I am finding his loose ring snaffle is not giving me enough brakes now he is fitter and going forward (came to me with a serious nap)

Was advised to try the Verb' as it offers more control without being harsh and is good for horses that evade & come above the contact, as my little angel does.....

I used one of these on my (now retired) mare who had previously been in a normal loose ring snaffle and she was very happy in it :) I think they are super bits, but of course, what works for one horse may not work for another.
