I am going hunting for first time tomoro, my horse has previously hunted for last 5 seasons but missed last year with cheshire farmers drag hunt with old owners.
I have been doing lots of dressage, xc and sj with her in snaffle bit but she was previously hunted and sj in dutch gag and i am wondering whether should put her back in it for tomoro or take her in snaffle?

any ideas?
thanks, x

thats probably for best as she can overpower me when doing dressage in school at home, so probably going to be v.strong tomoro!
excited though, i'll just cling onto my martingale!

thanks, x

I remember in H&H years ago an old boy said 'There are fools, bloody fools and people that hunt in snaffles'!

I use a waterford snaffle as my mare isn't strong but she does lean on the bit, especially when she gets a bit tired.
