Hello!!!
I was looking for a bit of advise on bits please. I have a 17hh naughty donkey of a warmblood. I used to ride in in a french link which was fine but he as gotten really strong and started to bog off with me in the school by taking the bit between his teeth...(hence called naughty donkey!) He also taked this bit in his teeth to spin on you as well....so to counter act this he is in a cherry roller snaffle.....and is a good donkey no bogging off and no spinning. Right here is the problem....he has to have a william micklem bridle as he has a bone spur in his jaw(right where a normal noseband would rest so very uncomfortable for him), I have tired a grackle bridle but he does not like the presure on his nose (delicate donkey too) any way since changing his bit he has taken to constantly chomping on it and where the buckle is on his bridle around his nose he has given himself a sore. I am sure his is having a dirty protest to the bit but I need to be able to stop and not have him try to kill me....so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to what other bits to try or any ideas of how to stop the buckle on his bridle rubbing his mouth.
