Sorry, another bitting post...
What are my options for ported bits under BD rules? I'm confused by the rule book! I have a horse who is incredibly fussy and light in his mouth and I want to try something with a port as apparently he goes well in a ported rubber pelham ridden off the snaffle ring. My only problem is he is for sale as a dressage horse so I need to keep it all BD legal! What about a nathe (because they are curved on the bottom, right?!)

Have you thought about some form of myler? Archie had one which rotated and didnt put much pressure on the tongue but was BD legal.

Hope all is good with you - you'l have to come see the big man soon and have a ride. Im working thurs/fri/saturdays at the mo but am free the rest of the time x

lucretia - I did think about sticking to hanging cheeks as obviously the pelham ridden off the top ring acts as one and I want to keep his bitting as "nice" for him as possible (hot-head Spanish pony so he has to be kept "nicely"!)

Midymahem - I didn't think of that, thanks I may well give them a call!
Tempi - I wondered about a Myler but the cost puts me off, not sure if I can persuade my boss she needs to buy one
