Right, ok.
My daft brush of a horse started, when he was tired, to catch his bit in his teeth when I took his bridle off. Daft sod one day didn't let go, and frightened himself.
He was fine for a while, I just had to be a little careful when he was tired, but then the last couple of times the silly bugger really got hold of it and frightened himself.
I've tried unhooking it on one side and droppig it carefully, but i find he's more likely to get the ring stuck instead!!! Argh!!!
My plan at the moment is to just ride him in his hackamore for a couple of weeks, give it a break and then go back to doing it carefully, by which time he'll have hopefully broken the habit.
Is there anything else I could try?
sorry for the long post!!
