Bitting Problems

i have a 9 yr old thoroughbred ex racehorse who is so strong and hard to conroll. has been in a hackamore and couldnt hold one side of her, a 3 ring gag which worked for about a month and then went back to the same, currently in a pelham which again has worked for about 2 months but not any more.

ideally i want to jump her but unless i can gain some controll she is going to hurt herself. for the timebeing i want to work on her flatwork but need a bit to school in.

if anyone has any ideas they would be greatly received!

I see a lot of ex racers wearing these; they seem like gentle bits but work really well for sensitive chaps like tbs!!

I'd second the myler combo, worked really well on my super strong Arab.

Check list - have you had these checked

Back - by chiropractor
Saddle - by saddler
Teeth - by equine dentist.

All these can seriously affect general control

ys have checked all and did have bad pelvis... out by three inches but was a while ago and is fine now, teeth and saddle fine done every 6 months. was having massages and was tight in neck but told that wouldnt cause her to run but would make her come back at me more. at my wits end with what to do!!!
