I'm in a quandry about which bit to use with my 4 year old Selle Francais mare.
She works beautifully on the flat in an KK Ultra snaffle, but when she loses concentration or is out hacking she can just get totally dull at the end of the rein and I feel absolutely nothing. It's like free wheeling with no brakes!
She was in a rubber snaffle until just before Xmas and the metal bit has definitely made a difference. However, I just feel like I have zero brakes.
Any suggestions about what to try?
