hi im new to this site and im hoping to get lots of tips and meet like minded people . i have recently taken on a rescue horse she is 3 1/2 and she has a fantastic personality and we have really bonded. she is so easy to do and has no vices. i am starting to break her in and su far she has been brilliant . but because she is cob x arab she is not standard cob size. my question for anyone who knows is how do i measure her for bit size as she has quite asmall mouth.

you're in the wrong section.... youd be better off posting in New Lounge or Stable Yard

But to answer your question. Slip a piece of string into your horses mouth. Mark with a pen each side of your horses mouth. The round up to the nearest size. 4.5 inch, 5 inch, 5.5 inch or 6 inch.
