I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so anyway here goes. The flies are biting my geldings sheath and actually making it bleed. I know that i've got to give it a good wash with sheath wash or something similar, but i was just wondering if theres anything that i can put on his sheath after that to keep the flies off.

I dont know how well it will work for a gelding but my mare gets bitten horribley on her teats in the summer and we put udder cream all over them so the flies cant get to her. or sudocream or zinc and caster oil cream like baby nappy cream. that seems to work so maybe worth a try?

Ditto, wash and apply sudocreme or udder cream. Also use a fly and midge reppelent on the inside of his legs, preferably one in a gel formulation like NAFs one, or the coopers spray fly repellent applying it with a sponge, and also avon's skin so soft and fresh for midges. Just be careful and don't apply it to broken skin, and if it's a spray apply with a spong or cloth. Xx
