I have never had a horse who needed rugging.

I have always had little hairy beasties, or big hairy beasties, depending on how big I was at the time, but now I am confused.

Ellie came yesterday and has a huge box of rugs. There must be 10 of them in there and I am confused.

I have no idea what to put on her and when! When I was little all other peoples horses got was a NZ chucked on them if it was cold and wet

I need to lie down in a darkened room, I am getting one of my heads........

If I were you I'd dig out a stable rug and a turnout use them and go from there if you feel she needs more or less. Sounds like you have quite a selection there so you shouldn't need to buy any for a while!

He he he, let's see, there'll probably be:

A lightweight turnout;
A medium weight turnout;
A heavyweight turnout;

A lightweight stable rug;
A medium weight stable rug;
A heaveyweight stable rug;

Any combination of the above with and without a neck.

Under rugs - varying.

Cooler.

Fleece.

Fleece cooler.

Thermatex or similar.

I think that's all, but maybe I've missed something

*gets ready to run and hide from the impending mob*

I have all of those, as well as my baileys rug, my show rug, a waterproof exercise sheet, a wrap around mark todd exercise sheet and my thermatex (show) exercise sheet.

Oh and the Verden Stable boots and the equipe stable bandages and liners...

*runs*

Ah yes, the exercise sheets (plural, one flourescent (sp!) and one purely because I liked the stripes), and the show rugs (plural as was a colour issue lol). Have been eyeing up a Thermatex, but can't decide on colours...

*whispers - "Come on Black Horse. We'll make it if we try!" Grabs Black Horse by the hand and they leg it for the hills
