My horse had a huge fibroblastic sarcoid on her back leg which has been successfully treated with liverpool cream. She has always had two flat one under her armpitsbut now one has got a big ball poking out so vet reckons it can just be banded. Has anyone ever banded the sarcoid successfully or should i go straight back to Professor?

When my horse had them, many years ago, I was forced to tie off 3 or 4 as he would catch them when he was getting up or down & rip them half off! They then just dropped off & those never returned. He had the rest treated with Liverpool cream.

The vet banded one of mine, we thought it would grow back but it didnt. That was quite a few years ago. Just found one on the shetland, his is quite nodular and on the inside of this leg, so we were going to get this banded too, next time he comes out.

I know of a donkey that had one banded on his willy

It has successfully dropped off (the sarcoid not the willy!) and all is well as far as I know :)
