Anyone know of him?

15hh approx, black with star and 4 white socks. High knee action, stunning horse but a real handful and could be very strong and dominant. he went to a dealer out yarmouth way (norfolk) in 2003 and was advertised in the local adtrader.

He would probably be around 11ish now

I owned this horse for a year and have always wondered how he is doing nowadays. he was bought by me in 2002, we had him professionally backed and schooled. But i was unable to cope with him.

Please get in contact if you are likely to know anything about this horse

What was his name? And any chance he could have made it to Northern Ireland?

A friend of mine has a Hackney cross but I don't know too much about him--- I'll try and find out for you. Was he a good jumper?

ooh i got all exited when i saw somebody had replied to my thread!!! thanks for looking, i did abit of jumping with him when i had him and he did have a good jump on him. he was so strong though. if he wanted to go somewhere he would just block his neck and hed try and be off.

he was named 'laddie' (his name may have been changed though)

Sorry but I do not know anything about your horse, however I got so excited when I saw a title referring to a Hackney x Welsh, as my boy in my siggie is that breeding

He is now 28 and WAS a complete handful, but somehow I managed to cope with him and he has been the love of my life ..... I don't think I could cope with him now, 18 years later, if I was started all over again lol.

Good luck with your quest to find him ... it has just made me think about phoning the lady I bought him off all those years ago, to let her know he is still doing ok

I don't know this horse, although I am currently working with a hackney mare very similar appearance and temperment....do you have any details of his dam? She was a broodmare most of her life and I'm wondering if there is any connection. Are you in norfolk??

Hi there, when i bought him he had no papers whatsoever and the lady i bought him off knew nothing of his dam or sire. He could have come from anywhere in the country!

Yes i am in norfolk, and here are some old photos of him back in 2003
