Those of you who feed these, how much do you feed?

My 2 love them, as do the birdies!!

They are getting a mug full per bucket feed and are fed twice a day. They both weigh about 625kg.

Fed them to one of my girls with great success but got utterly sick to death of trying to poo pick my fields and finding every bird in the county had been raking the piles and spreading it everywhere so I was left scraping it all up which took forever.

Swapped to micronised linseed - even better coat and no poo problems lol!

Do BOSS or micronized linseed make horses fizzy?

My horse is sensitive to, well… pretty much everything! I can’t feed him cereals, alfalfa or sugar as they make him arsey (he’ll kick you removing rugs etc), I can’t feed him vegetable oil as it makes him spooky…

Also where do you get micronized linseed from?

Micronised linseed / BOSS don't fizz either of mine up, but Alfa Oil sent the three year old off her rocker

The linseed is fabulous for condition and costs me £22 a 25kg sack, feed mine two mugs a day

I feed a coffee mug twice a day to my two - Farra is about 750k (clydesdale) and Chancer is about 550 k (gypsy cob).

Gives them very hard feet - they don't wear shoes, darkens the coat and gives it a nice gloss. I also feed micronised linseed for joints, digestion and show gloss.

Downside is that unless you poo pick every day, the birds do like to scatter the poo, but the good thing is that you do sometimes get some nice seedlings sprouting in the muckheap you can take home and plant for the kids to watch sunflowers growing in the garden.
