I had a bit of an odd experience today, not sure if it's normal or not!

Ponio spooked and span and as he did my saddle slipped, managed to get my left foot out and over and sort of hopped along side because my other foot wasn't coming out! I was then dragged on my knee for about one trot side and pony (thankfully!) stopped. When I stood up I felt fine and lent on his back because of my knee, then I started to feel dizzy and sick... About a minute later I blacked out for about half a minute and when I recorved felt absolutely fine... got back on and carried on as usal! Still feel fine and didn't feel ill beforehand. Does anybody have any idea?  Oh and I DEFIANTLY didn't hit my head

Could just be a stress/shock reaction. I black out fairly often, low blood pressure/odd blood glucose levels. Usually get some warning though :)

If you've been ok since I wouldn't worry too much x

Could have been a result of the force of the landing shock going up your body.

Just be aware of any weird twinges or shortness of breath, as well as any more blacking out episodes.

To be honest i would be tempted to at least phone NHS Direct. If you jolted your head or neck when going down it could have done something?

You shouldn't black out for no reason and as mentioned by someone else it could be for another reason like low blood sugar but best having a chat with a professional just to be safe.

When you say blacked out do you mean you were aware of it happening and just couldn't see for a bit or you actually conked out onto ground? :)

at first I was aware and then I don't remember. I knew that I'd fell but don't remember being on the floor or getting up and sitting on the wall.

Think it must of been shock but if I feel ill again I'll call my doctor. Thank you very much guys:)

You can get concussion even without hitting your head, i.e. landing headily on your feet. Which would explain symptoms such as loss of memory. Usually I would say concussion should be taken seriously, I would look out for other signs, such as headaches, and if your worried talk to a doc.

thanks again for everybodys advice, think it must of been shock or low blood sugar because I've felt fine ever since now. Been eating lots of skittles to make sure it doesn't happen again :D
