Blaze is now 9 months old , has had the occasional barking fit at the telly , but the last 2 days he's doing it all the time when there's a person on there [ which is often ] he goes nut and runs out the room , comes back in all creepy and growling , any advice on this please .
He is by no means nervous dog at all , very odd .

Don't pay an attention (by touch or voice recognition) 2 methods work well here and one is placing him out of the room at the time he acts out the behaviour, no speak (take his collar) and lead him out (give him time out for 5 mins) or until silent behind the door and then allow him back in (no talk or touch) allow him to settle once more until he (reacts) then (time out) again. Practice this for aslong as it takes for him to realise silence= remaining in the room.

Another would be a positive distraction at the time the behaviour would normally appear (see if he will take a stuffed kong) whilst certain channels are on (whatever triggers him).
Dont heighten the issue by raising your voice or being overly vocal/restraining him, be calm.

EDT.....its pretty common, I have had a few boarders in here who do it, esp at certain channels, I stopped it in here then gave the owners the same advice, on owner was over the moon when he could watch the horse racing once again with the cavalier in the same room:D
