My poor boy is being assaulted from all directions! He has a nasty corneal ulcer which he is not enjoying his eye drops for. And today he had blood speckled down his back legs from horse fly bites round his sheath ! Combine this with a full winter cob coat in 20' and he is not a totally happy boy. Bless him. Dug out the fly gel and deosect today. I on the other hand have poo picked in a t shirt while pushing a barrow across rather than through the field. Bliss.

Mine were being bitten around the sheath even after spraying their tummies so i got the neem oil out and wiped it around their willies, their tails didnt move again. Happiness

Lucky you, ive just stuck my thermal vest back on as its bleddy freezing here :-(

Yes had a few lovely days but back to thermals today. Noticed my mare had a few fly bites yesterday that were a bit bleedy. Sorry to hear your horse has a ulcer. Have owned a horse in the past that had a bad corneal ulcer which he was on boxrest for months. So the sun couldnt damage his eye. Hope the ulcer heals quickly for you unlike in my case.
