Poor pony, Im so sorry to hear this. Is your vet an equine vet? Have you spoken to your farrier about this? It does sound like laminitis, but I dont understand the bruising and bleeding in the hoof unless of course the pedal bone has dropped. Is the digital pulse accelerated? What exactly did the x-rays reveal? Did the vet offer to refer him at all? When is the vet coming back? I would be jumping up and down on the vets head if the pony was mine im afraid. Please do keep us posted.

X RAYS SHOW NOTHING VETS EQUINE ONLY AND FARRIER THINKS IT LAMI VET BACK MONDAY BUT IM NOT IMPRESSED I NEED SOME ANSWERS WE HAVE SENT HOOF CLIPPINGS UP TO EDINBURGH UNI AS HOOF SPECIALIST THERE THINKS IT DUE TO BIOTIN DEFIC BUT MY TRAINER DOESNT THINK IT LAMI !!!!

I have heard of a case of this before and it was due to the hoof wall not growing properly. There is a farrier in wales not sure where who has a treatment for this by putting fibreglass on the hoof wall. It needs to be done every month. Hope you manage to sort this out as it must be really worrying for you. Good luck
