Henry has knocked a lump out of himself on the top left point of his shoulder blade (hope that makes sense). Don't know when he did it, it's not deep, but he keeps scratching at it and making it bleed as he is constantly knocking the scab off:rolleyes:

An Elizabethan collar won't help as it is in the wrong place - is there any way I can protect it? If I see him I stop him but I can't watch him 24/7.

I've been cleaning it with hibiscrub, and have trimmed the fur short to see what it was (all I could feel was a big lump on his neck, so ended up getting the scissors out to investigate!:o).

I'm loathe to go to the vets for something so small as it doesn't seem to be bothering him, is not deep at all, and I'm broke (obviously if I thought it was serious I would find the cash). Also, I'm not sure what the vets could do to be honest.

Oh aloe vera - hadn't thought of that! I shall grab it out of the bathroom next time I go upstairs:)

I would love to know just how he manages it, it's not like I ever see him leaping off cliffs and abseiling down buildings:rolleyes: Maybe it's an attention seeking thing, since he is currently lying with his head in my lap looking pathetic while I blot the blood off him
