Blewbury today..(sunday)

hi. did anyone go to blewbury today?
As much as i enjoyed today (my boy jumped his 4th double clear BN, came 3rd, and finally jumped out of BN), i still think that blewbury can leave a little to be desired!! the parking was a bit hectic and the ground gets bad in the indoor part of the warm up - but hey ho - at least the jumping was good!
just wondering who else went and how you all got on??

Unfortunately i've sworn never to go to blewbury again as last time i went the course was badly built, dark and the outdoor warm up was frozen solid so we could only use that tiny indoor bit - you can imagine!

The ground in the outdoor warmup was awful! the parking was crap, and the warm up indoors was tight - however, the ppl there are friendly and very approachable! whereas at another well known venue although the facilities are superb the staff arent so accomodating

I havent been to Blewbury for over 10 years! and it hasnt changed lol
My boy jumped DC in only his 2nd BSJA outing and unfortunately punched out 3 SJs in the BN - arghh! frustrating but it was so tight and i was being tanked with lol.

yeah blewburys parking is a bit tight but i don't mind going there as it is friendlier and nicer atmosphere than some of the bigger venues down this way.
but i think when you have addington and patchetts round our ways you end up expecting quite alot from a venue. When i was in yorkshire most of the places i went competing were more of a blewbury standard.

Mother was shocked lol but shes got too used to going to Addington and Solihull.

But you cant beat the friendly atmosphere

Yes it is better than malthouse, it is always so wet there, but i can't complain too much as i did qualify for the TB finals there last year and am going there in march for their 2nd rround TB's dressage!
