Blingy bridles - yay or nay?

Just stirring a bit really Don't like them myself, much prefer a plain brown hunter bridle.

I do not like them, the only one that I would go to apart from plain is with a stiched brow and noseband, but that is it.

As long as the bridle fits that horse and you aren't taking it into the showring, I have no problem with bling bridles. I have a a large selection of browbands, including a bling one and I put whichever takes my fancy on my bridle. My mare doesn't give a hoot which one she wears.

On the right type of horse, they can look lovely - my old ISH wore one and it really suited him.

On my hairy, native pony ... it would just look naff

Nay. I bought a Kieffer bridle that came with one and my horse looked ridiculous. He just doesn't suit bling. My other one probably would as he has a "cute" face but he's a boy and boys don't wear bling

I don't have a problem with them as such, and I agree - as long as it fits, who gives a hoot! The horse doesn't care that's for sure!

Its more the look of them - I just really don't like how they look, I don't think they do anything for the neddy at all

Depends what you are doing, I have a bling and a synthetic for every day use but if we did anything fancy i would get a nice plain leather one

Haha! Now see they are the ones that make my eyes twitch.... I can't even cope with the padded ones with patterns stitched on them.... And if they are black AND blingy - well I just break down as my eyes bleed

No. Never. A horse, of whatever breed or type, needs no such human blingy-crap to enhance it.

In fact, it detracts from the beauty of what it IS.

I have a v shaped one with sparkles in it, but I don't like those ones that are like silver bracelets. There should be some leather involved!

To be honest my girl has such an immense forelock you can only see it when its windy!

I have both plain and blingy and like them both! Not so keen on blingy nosebands (even though I've got and use it on occasion ) but do like to see a few crystals on a browband
