Nice to know they are really looking into responsible breeding, health testing etc!

I saw someone on a local free ads facebook thing looking for a bitch to breed to her staffie.
Couldn't help but pipe up about how many staffies there are in rescue and does she really need to breed more?
Her reply was along the lines of 'he's white and everyone who sees him thinks he's gorgeous'
yes to me that is such a good reason to breed *headdesk*
I've seen quite a few breeders on these pages too and I have to bite my tongue. plenty of them willing to keep puppies till xmas. no breeder who actually cares about the future of their pups would do that.

My only hope when I see ads looking for studs etc is that the idiots with the dogs will have no idea what they are doing and not have successful matings. However the law of sod says they will probably put both dogs in a shed, go to the pub and have a healthy litter of pups 9 weeks later.
I hate seeing ads that say "will keep to Christmas", as you say no caring breeder does that. The only litter I ever had that was ready around Christmas I kept the whole blooming lot till ever Christmas, cost me a fortune. The thing is with the best will in the world I do not believe the chaos of Christmas is a good time to bring a new pup into the house, even if it has been planned for months and in every other respect is a perfect home.
