Blo0dy liveries and their horses poo!!

The kids at our yard are always "forgetting" to pick up their horses poo from the arena (actually I don't think they realise that their horses do poos as their mothers do everything for them).
However, its not worth getting this stressed about a bit of horse poo. I used to let myself get worked up about it (sometimes it does still get to me) but it didn't do any good and just put me in a bad mood. Now I just remind them when I see them and pick it up myself if there is no-one around (still have a bit of a moan to my friend, but don't dwell on it)
You have 2 choices - pick it up and let it go or leave it there for them to see next time they use the arena.

Yes, these people may be making life difficult for you, but you are rewarding them by making it so obvious they are getting to you. Try not to let it show that you are so bothered then maybe they won't find it so much fun to wind you up.

I'd ask yard owner to lock it for a day, we stopped allowing people to use ours as we kept finding piles of poo in it.
You know who the culprits are so face them, tell them quietly but firmly you are fed up with having to pick it up and would they please do their own in future. Don't argue, just say your piece then turn and walk off...

Wouldnt fancy taking a fall in your arena to get a face full of s**t
On the other thing, if your horse has permanent runny poo I should seek the advice of a vet.

tbh I reckon you should leave it to B as it is his yard. IF it bothers you then pick it up, but unless he appoints you YM it really isn't up to you to tell other liveries what to do..

We've also been battling with this problem for years. Problem is it's not always clear who used and school and did (or their horse) the offending dropping.

Another similar problem we have is that they cannot EVER be relied on to put muck over the edge of the muck heap...

just when excited

just another thought though is when I compete the warm up area has many poos but no one seems to clean them up?? and with regards to harrowing it in competition places do this on sand I know of 2 that do.
So its not un common.

Anyway this distract from the post> I suggest you get the YO to take some responsibility for this. After all its there place, but if it bugs you go and tell them to clear up or clear out!
