Hi folks my mare seems to be very bloated and farty, she has had one minor colic episode in the year that Ive owned her and she seem uncomfortable. Anybody ideas on what I could do to help her?

When my mare was similar to this, we used to laugh at her but then we found that she could not digest cerals/sugar properly and had to stop feed in her on anything but non-mollassed fibre.
Does the mare have any behavioural issues? Mine did and also was very sensitive to being touched.

I gave harvey 'fibre digester' by equimins when he was like this and it really seemed to help. I'd also see if you can feed her hay instead of haylage, of half and half, until her tummy settles
