Hi all,
Does any one here do equestrian product reviews?
I would really like to start a blog with diffrent reviews of diffrent products although i don't know how realistic this is and how to start.
Any help welcome :D
Thanks in advance

I imagine you create a blog, name it and then start writing! Choose something you currently use, take photos of it in action, review it et voila - a blog.

Lol. I didn't know it was as simple as reviewing the products I already had - didn't know if I has to ask permission or something. I just wanted to make sure I was safe before starting :p ( if that all makes sense :P )

Yup was going to do that :) I didn't know whether to start with products I have ( providing that's ok to do ?? ) or to ask little teenie companies to review their products??

In reply to your enquiry, I started mine to share good, bad & ugly experiences & for my own fun & enjoyment.
This is the key as companies will not give you free products to review unless you have a following & as they're more likely to sponsor eventers or dressage riders who have a blog & use products etc. to review this is easier said than done, so if you enjoy taking photos, writing & horses go for it. I don't think you need to ask permission but you do need to state if am item was given to you for free to review.
Good luck & let me know how it goes!
I live writing. My next post! Keeping my white horses tail WHITE and now yellow!!

I write a blog on beauty and fashion. I just joined blogger.com and wrote about things I already had, and anything new I buy I will write about. I sometimes get sent things from PR companies for free which is always great. It took a long time for people to start and notice me, and even now I wouldn't consider myself to have a lot of followers, but it does come with time.

I think you will struggle to get companies to send you products until you can prove people read what you're writing.

I have a beauty/lifestyle blog that I started a few years ago and would review products I already owned. About a year ago I found companies started getting in touch to invite me to events or send me products to review. By this point I was getting on average around 5,000 unique visitors a month and had a reasonably decent following via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.

I always think those that start a blog purely to get free stuff are the ones that struggle the most, whereas those that treat it as a nice surprise get so much more out of their blogging.

Frosty and GG2B would you mind linking your blogs? as i dont want to copy what everyone else has done but would like to look at some before i start ?? XD
