Hi all
I recently had my mare blood tested due to her showing poor performance, depression and colic symptoms. The results have come back showing high AST, GGT AND MCHC with low Calcium.
CA - 2.38 mmol/L (2.60-3.22)
AST - 642 U/L (100-600)
GGT - 101 U/L (0-87)
MCHC - 40.4 g/dl (32.8-38.6)
The vet did not seem concerned at all, but considering my horse is not a happy horse at the moment I would have thought any changes to the normal range would need to be considered.
Can anyone advise what these mean? and if I should be remotely concerned or not.
Thanks Leanne
