Blood test

Does anyone know how long blood will last when sending off to lab to do a blood test for pregnancy.my vet sent blood off on tuesday,taken on monday mid day and it wasnt tested till thursday week 10 days later.It came back negative but im not convinced.

depends how it was stored, but pregnancy blood tests are not accurate anyhow.

Pregnancy tests tend to be run in batches so that is probably why it took so long!
I imagine the test was run from a serum sample which are 'stable' for a long time. (as opposed to a whole blood sample.)
Is your mare a mini? Is that why she has a blood sample instead of a scan?

There are very specific timescales for a blood test to be reliable. Can't remember but 100 days seems to sound familiar, but that might be more to do with the window for terminating a pregnancy. After 100 days, you have to have a scan and terminating an unwanted pregnancy becomes a lot more problematic. A LOT more.
