Roughly how much are blood tests?

Depends what you are testing for.

Are you talking QBC, GHP, random Bio Chem (such as individual minerals etc)? Or something else?

i had bloods done earlier in the year, the vet quoted me £30. (i was already having them, so had the call out and consultation to add ontop). I had them done there and then to save them coming back in a few weeks and charging another call out.
Anyway, i got my bill, and i was charged just over £70 for the blood test!!

they charged me for taking the blood, labelling it, packing it, posting it, processing the results.

I complained as i was told it would be £30 hence had it done even though the vet didnt think it essential (said they would come back in a few weeks for blood if he didnt improve). I was charged £35 in the end.

I'm not sure what other vets would charge but teh lab actually send me their bill bu accident, and i think there charge was about £15.... so i guess it depends on how much your vets wants to make out of it!

The bloods for mine where a full blood profile, checking liver, kidneys etc.

Sorry - prob not much help!

my horse had his bloods tested for liver enzymes last month and total was just under £120 including call out, taking of blood and processing.. the processing was the expensive bit at £69+VAT.. it may be less if your vet has their own lab.
