Pony is new to barefoot which i suspect is half the reason this is happening :(

2 weeks ago went hopping lame with an abscess, was eventually found and drained, remained poulticed until nothing else was coming out, then packed with hoof stuff... that didn't stay put as hole wasn't really deep enough so i swapped it for field paste and still covered with vet wrap and tape for another 2-3 days. Then ditched the tape and left the foot bare within 12 hours the damn horse was back to waving his foot at me, so hole cleaned out, iodine squirted in and re-poulticed, nothing coming out after a day or 2 so back to covering hole in field paste. Eventually gave in and brought a woof wear medical boot as i was spending a fortune on tape!!

Hes been living in the medical boot (he's out 24/7) to try and keep the mud out and still smothered in field paste. He was sound so i was back to walking him, foot was obsessively cleaned post walk and smothered again in field paste woof wear boot back on..... so please tell why the hell the damn horse is back again to waving the foot at me??

I've cleaned it again, squirted iodine in and re-poulitced will see what hes like when i'm home. He's still out 24/7 but he's being a bit pathetic and wont really move around much, if you make him move (walk him in to the yard he gets sounder!)

Not really sure what else i can do typically farrier is away on a course so not available and i'm due to go away on friday :( :( :(

I would speak to farrier ask who he recommends you call in his absence.
You could have a solar access or another access, only a shallow part of an accessay have been dug out.
To be fair I would hoof test and do a little digging myself but only to where I felt comfortable.

Hot poultice on? I suspect it's tracked somewhere other than the exit hole you have dug out. I thought my mare's last one just came out by the frog but we found another exit hole at her last trim

I can offer tea and sympathy. Am convinced Retired Mare has one and it’s doing nothing.
My BFT prefers to hot tub and let them make their own way out - up if necessary since pressure within the foot acts upwards so draining from the bottom can leave pus behind . Easier said than done though when digging it out feels like the quicker solution

Thought you’d all feel my pain, two weeks after getting the last one sorted, another abscess (suspected) in front now!
Am questioning my management further, she was out by day and in overnight, might hve to amend that-also I know we are trying to slowly undo her long toe/lami so may mean she has to come in permanently until her feet improve and that white line tightens up.
