At PC camp, the arrival time between 2-4 today. At 8pm FOUR saddles were discovered with sratch marks (as if by fingernails) and one of them had slash marks.
One is a v. expensive stubben, one isn't paid for yet.
They are stored in stables at a racecourse(where horses are stabled)
Most people were at the barbeque up above.
Why would you do that?
Worst thing is it is most likely a junior member/family who did it as who else would do it?
Padlocks are coming tomorrow and it is a sad state of affairs...
Thinking of it all the families owneing the saddles are pretty well off but how would you identify them?

At pc camp all our tack is required to be locked away, and it is, immediately after each ride and at night. We use an ifor williams plastic tack box, but some kids have home made wooden boxes all with paddlocks. I would certainly not take the risk of theft or damage by not locking up. Horrible thing to happen, is this ND PC, my friend's kids were at junior camp over the weekend. Our camp is on at the moment too..

How sad for the people with damaged saddles. Back in my days at PC camp the tack just went in the stables at the end of the block, don't think it was locked even, and there weren't any problems.

Good god!! There's some really spiteful people out there

Positive. Slash marks on one (the letter w/e/something depending on how you looked at it) and fingernail slashes on the other.
We're the same, tack is in stables in the middle of the block. They will have padlocks now though I think
