Took the wee 3yo Welshie out for a drive to the vet today for his vaccs. I took him to them as I wanted to use it as a practice run to check he was going to travel ok (I havent had him long) as he has a show in a fortnight.

Travelled there fine. However on way home, I looked behind through the little window and saw his ears the wrong way round... hmmm that cant be right. We pulled into a layby and there was him standing with his head over the BACK door!

Somehow he'd managed to undo the hind strap so the back partition section had swung wide. I guess he figured there was more space there, broken the string he was tied to, reared up and spun round! He's only a very small 13.2hh so he's basically TOO small for my parition (ie. its too wide)! Then because he'd had a scare, he didnt fancy loading again for a short while. NOT what you want in some layby which was totally open and had a massive forest right beside us (ie. he rather wanted to go off on his own to investigate...). We travelled home with the back top door closed up and the hind bar securely attached!

I swear horses enjoy scaring the c*ap out of their owners...
