So, at the beginning of the week my fence battery ran out and my charger wasn't working so i spent about 3 days putting the horses back in their paddocks when i went up to the field.
Well, they got on so well that after the battery was back up and running i left them together and opened up the paddocks so they had the run of them all.
This morning, i get to the field to find they've had one hell of a fight over night, the mare has a whopper of cut on her hind fetlock where she's been kicked but is otherwise fine and not lame. But the gelding has literally had lumps taken out of him and has had several kicks to his near hock.
They both look awful, fingers crossed they'll both recover quickly, stay sound throughout, and that the geldings hair grows back ok - he's a light grey so wont matter if it comes back white.
Needless to say, they're back in their seperate paddocks and will stay that way!!
