Feeling very sorry for my poor chap at the moment! Have had him exactly 2 months today and started off with having to fix his dental problems - including the removal of one tooth which means he can now eat hay instead of quidding it all. Then because he was feeling much better in himself (and for whatever other reason he decided on!) he started getting silly and tanking off on hacks - got over that problem....then today when I'm finally feeling all happy for him....his bloomin' stifle starts locking!! Have researched it all and am waiting for the vet to call me tomorrow just to confirm it and to advise me on what he wants me to do (I know that hill work and regular gentle excersize..as much turnout as poss will help) but it is all very disheartening and seeing his stifle locking is nasty!
I'm really looking forward to it being Spring when I can spend less time mucking out and more time riding and I will have got his back end built up and all these things will be a distant memory!!
