Oh well I have not managed to watch Badminton yet, suppose I could nestle down with a packet of choc chip cookies and a mug of coffee and munch and dip my way through the XC, better late than never.

Pointless post but I'm at a loose end on my day off, not good

Haven't really had any proper rain here since the snow went (mid Feb) and we desperately need some - the grass isn't growing (hay will be non existent at this rate) and the ground is like concrete.

Send some of your rain my way - please!!!

Sorry I'm going to upset some of you now. I'm not moaning, quite happy actually. My field is so dry i have cracks in it that i can get my hands in the gaps. If we are due this hot summer this year as well I'm making the most of this rain when it comes.

Its been very wet here, but we did need it. Hope weekend improves, think it is supposed to be damp for most of it.......Chatsworth will be wet (we are only 5 miles from Bakewell)

Kenzo buy the poor lad a new rug

The fields were so dry they desperately needed a good soaking. I did feel for poor Ellie though, she was shivering when I went to the field after work, so chucked her a rug on.

Hopefully the grass will start to grow again now !
