blooming farriers

I just leave a cheque for mine if he's late.
Thankfully the mare is well behaved and he is happy to do her without me being there.

I did wait once for him and he was 4 hours late (he did call me to let me know) but I didn't mind when he told me he'd been waiting for the vet to have a look at a laminitic. The outcome wasn't good :(.
 
Like buses, late, don't turn up, then one day they all come at once ;) :D

I have to say though, my farrier is a complete star, he goes out of his way to help and sort problems out, so although time keeping is not his best trait, I wouldn't have him any other way, he's good at his job so I can't moan.

A phone call to say he will be late isn't asking much is it? If my husband let clients down repeatedly, he wouldn't have a business. Either they're earning good bucks or have got waiting lists and don't care if they let the odd customer down. Either way, it's very rude and unprofessional.
 
I'm obviously spoilt rotten because mine is very rarely late (often early though!), calls if he thinks he will be (or if he's going to be very early) & I don't think he's ever not turned up at all in 9 years of using him. On top of which he always does a very good job & is a lovely chap so no complaints from me at all.
