Blooming fireworks!

Yep someone let some bangers off here about 6pm - dog is now shaking like a leaf and I am in the kitchen with him with the expelair on full, and the radio and washing machine! I can't go out on NYE as dog is so terrifed!

Totally agree. The horses are OK but two of my dogs are terrified of them and will shake and whimper all night. I dont have an issue with organised displays but why people have to have to let explosions off in their back gardens is beyond me! :(:(:(

Argh! These people are so annoying
Luckily my dog is okay with fireworks and thunder because when we first had her I would sit feeding her treats with every bang or rumble! Now someone only has to slam a door and she comes for treats  made a rod for my own back...

I totally agree, hate the bloody things, I have sedated my horses tonight and will try and stay awake until they all go off at 12 but it is really stressful for all concerned, my poor dog shakes and hyperventilates even though he is sedated. I really think the time has come for them to be banned apart from organised displays, there is no place for explosives to be let off by any moron in his own garden when he feels like it. I am totally with Pedantic Nation of .......les!!!

TG ours are all 'been there, done it' types and are not bothered at all. They know their field boundaries very well and have gone through fireworks in these fields before so should all be ok, fortunately they were used to shooting going on in their field at the last place so are pretty bomb proof where sudden bangs are concerned. At home it is a different story as the fireworks over here are relentless and into the early hours and the dogs will be getting wound up from about 11.00.

Yes but silent wouldn't satisfy the idiots who want lound BANGS!! I am fed up with the same problems happening every year. We get them all through the summer as well as people think its ok to let them off after their summer bbq at about 11 at night. There is noone around to stop them and they know it. No one is interested if you complain, I have tried. I lost a horse 2 years ago because of a stupid neighbour letting them off over our stable and I am so fed up with the stress of waiting for that first bang. I cannot understand how it is legal for explosives to be readily available to the idiots who buy them. They are so antisocial and so loud these days, they are not suitable for anybody to let off near to anyone within a mile distance. Yet again I will have a worrying and sleepless night because some idiots think its fun to see £££'s go up in smoke and give off a bang that sounds like a bomb going off, great!!
