As im neurotic (according to my vet!!!) i booked Blossy in for a checkup this morning as ive got the day off work.

Anyways mini-Blossy is VERY healthy indeed and was jumping around inside her (literally!!) when we had a look

It was SO cute and you could see the spine, head/neck (when it stayed still for long enough)

So i think im going to have a lively one on my hands

Apparently its too late to tell the sex now, however i begged him to try and see if he could make it out and he thinks its a girl!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But he did say dont blame him if its not - however i have lots of faith in him as hes one of the top AI vets in the country. He showed me why he thought it was - something to do with some bone he could see, dont ask me what!

Anyways mini-Bloss is going to be called Amelia if it is a girl, as that was the name of a pony i was given to ride when i was younger, which i totally adored.

And yes this should probably be in the breeding forum, but i dont really care!!!!!!

Hurray for min-Blossy - personally I see no harm in regular checkups - mine are mini-vetted annually and Cario's eye is checked twice a year and these are not expectant mums, but light worked geldings.

Exactly what I thought! Fine as long as mini-Bloss turns out to be just as talented (which I'm sure he/she will with parents like that)!
I hope I'm invited to visit mini-Bloss when he/she is born! I can't wait! You must be so excited (actually we can tell you are!)

Glad its all going well, hope it keeps going like that for you and Blossy! I tell you now it is worth it in the end, I had no idea of how proud and happy I would be breeding my 2 girls

its like having children

At one stage I was thinking 'what the hell am I doing, but I'm so pleased I went a head with this breeding malarky'.

Yay, if its a filly.............they are the best after all

lol.

Rainbow was a very lively foal inside Teazle, always kicking and moving, whereas I hardly ever saw Phoenix move. But they are completely the opposite way round now! lol.

Well she refuses to poo in her field - i went to muck it out today and there was not one single dropping in it, and shes been out 5 days this week, and all weekend when ive been away. I asked YO and she hadnt mucked it out for me. I panicked and asked Vet and he said not to worry as shes mucking normally in her stable!! He said they can get odd habits - her other one is that she will wee on her hay - really lovely
crazy.gif
But shes stopped doing that at the moment!!

Yeah we're fine thanks hun! Having a few issues but I think it's my problem rather than Bailey's!!!!!!!!!!
smirk.gif

Did you get chance to look at the wedding pics?

Awww, bless her!! Hormones are funny things - I've discovered that the week when Tilly's in season she turns into demolition horse but the following week is tidy as ever and puts all her poos neatly in one corner of her stable! Strange things these mares!!
grin.gif

Is she looking big yet? Bet you can't wait for baby Bloss now!!!

Thats brilliant news!! I know if/when i get my girl in foal i won't be able to go the whole pregnancy not knowing if all is well inside!!
