i'm doing some pure dressage but cannot afford to go and buy a plain jacket, i have so far been doing it in my eventing tweed jacket, which is fine but i'm finding i'm the only one doing this amoungst the dressage lot and this weekend i'm doing my first affilliated competition. i have managed to borrow a superbly smart black jacket from a friend but the only problem is is that i have a navy blue beagler, will this stick out like a sore thumb? should i stick with the tweed or a mix match colour????

I would personally stick with the tweed

What level of affiliated dressage are you competing at? I was always told (by an international competitor and trainer) that you should wear a tweed jacket for prelim and novice and poss elementary, and then progress to black or navy when you reach medium. Don't worry what everyone else is wearing!! (I personally wouldn't wear a black jacket and blue hat tho!!)

I would wear your tweed, I have worn my tweed jacket at affliated dressage. I also have been told that tweed is correct at novice and prelim level
