Just stared using Blue Chip Lami-lite for my sports pony filly - who has this past week turned into the killer-devil-horse-from-hell

wondering if the two are related - seems a bit of a coincidence, but may be simply my crap handling... insufficient keeping of space and all that kind of thing - but she *was* being astoundingly good.

anyone else had a horse turn hellish on this particular Blue Chip?

My pony has been more chilled and hes on lami light. TB X mare is on blue chip dynamic, has been for a while but is now excitable...think maybe too much in grass!!

Put my lad on Blue chip (normal balancer) and he became the horse from hell to. Just seemed really angry all the time. Took him off it and 3 days later he was back to normal. I have since heard of a few other horses that reacted the same way.

He's gone a bit nuts in the last week again but that was calmer (lack of) related!

No, not my difficult boy. He's still chilled and is now off his calmer as well. He's just the sort who would go mental on it too (he's one of those allergic/food intolerant types) Hope you get it sorted.

My horse went mental on Top Spec balancer. I believe the high levels of amino acids affect some horses and make them nervous and 'on the edge'. I bet if you take your horse off the balancer he is himself within a week.
Top Spec sent me a tub of their Comprehensive supplement, and it is brilliant. I feed it with basic nuts and Hi Fi Lite, and my horse has never looked better.

I use the top spec one as it has no grain in it. I use their low one that is just for horses at grass or just hacking.

I know corn oil does effect one of mine. Feed it and he turns angry as soon as you drop it, then a few days later he is back to being nice again.

my horse went mental on the blue chip - 3 days into the first bag, took him off and 3 days later he was totally sane. tried again and exactly the same so I knwo that it was teh blue chip. He is totally sane on spring grass, can be fed competition mix without a problem but blue chip is hopeless for him
