So pleased with the little turbo-bred.
Booked in for the 1m speed class, we weren't really going for it and I was pleased as the jumps seemed smaller than what they were on Wednesday.
He was like a different pony; no bucking, no rearing I was in control! We've had him on calmer since Wednesday so not sure if that has had any effect.
Went into the ring he jumped very nicely and gave me a good ride. I took on all the tips about keeping my leg on and quick half halts and it seemed to really work. He felt really with me and there was no sillyness.
There were about 15 jumping efforts though and I think after about 10 I was tired especially after late night and early start. I was finding it had to keep him bouncy and connected and he was getting longer and longer. We had one pole down but I'm still chuffed with the pony.
In a few months once I'm fitter he will be flying.
We cut a few turns and ended on a good time but with 4 faults we were out the placings. I'm not bothered as I really enjoyed myself today and Andy just flew.
Sorry no video we forgot the video camera but got some stills
This is my favourite as he looks like he's flying:

Thank you to everyone who said I should go.
p.s quick question at the gala evening in the GP there were a couple of horses ridden in both a running and a standing martingale, why?
