Blue Chip Super Concentrated Joint Care Balancer

Hi,

I have a 15.2 ex racer (5 years old) who is currently away being retrained.

I’m looking at adding a joint supplement to his feed. I’m torn between the blue chip super concentrated balancer or MSM from Omega Equine.

He’s had an easy life so far (all history is known) so this isn’t a joint supplement for issues more of maintenance/prevention.

If you want maintenance and prevention then I'd suggest using preventative ingredients (MSM is a 'reactive' ingredient). Things like Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Collagen are typically better.

MSM is an ingredient which affects the horses body to reduce inflammation, so you'd feed it 'because you have a problem'. Other ingredients like Boswellia Serrata are similar. Whereas feeding preventatively it's better to feed building up ingredients.
