My 15.1hh cob gelding is currently fed on Top Spec Leisure Flakes and has been for the past year or two. He was previously fed Blue Chip Original which gave him a fantastic coat and muscle tone but made him very forward going. I have been trying to decide, by looking at the contents of the feeds and in particular at their energy values, which is the best feed balancer to use. Blue Chip say their feed balancers contents are only known by three people which is all very well but it doesn't help me to decide what feed is right for my horse. I need something to give him some sparkle but no fizz. Anyone have any ideas or know the energy values and analysis at least of Blue Chip?

Blue chip is expensive compared to others, youre paying for all their adverts and marketing. Evenkeel you have to feed more of compared to Topspec to get same spec of vitamins, etc.

Top Spec is a much higher spec than Blue Chip, I did have the specs somewhere on this desk of mine but cannot find them! You do have to feed more Evenkeel than Top Spec, I have changed mine onto it, but at less than £12 for 20kg it is still a whole lot cheaper and I have to say that all of mine look fab.
