I used to feed bluechip pro to my old pony who showjumped, he was also on competiton mix because he needed an extra bit of energy. But he couoldn't keep weight on in the winter so we fed the blue chip and I thought it was fantastic.

I want to put Koko on it, but he's got enough energy but if he was put on bluechip it would best to be pro as this is most suited to him. Its says on the website it won't fizz him up but will it? Anyone had experiences with pro or original fizzing up their horses?

Depends on why you are looking at using it? Does he keep his weight well, or could he do with a bit of help? Is he naturaly a bit fizzy or would you like to add a bit? Is he sensitive to sugars or grains?

He isn't great at keeping weight on and he's under muscled. He is kind of fizzy I don't want him to have anymore energy at all. And I'm not sure about sugars and grains because we haven't had him long.

The original helped my boy gain condition and muscle without fizzing him up, but i think that it has a calmer in.

Personally I'm not a great fan off blue chip I feel it's over priced with not a lot in it compaired to topspec comperhensive. If you ask via the websites you can get a complete break down off what's in it. Blue chip was lacking quite a lot off basic vits/mins and also had a fair few which they just stated ( low level) hence can't be worth putting and won't let you know a little it really is. Topspec has everything listed and hasn't got lots missing like blue chip. If you compare the 2 together blue chip looks very very poor. I feed topspec feeds to all mine and never get any problems and you know that they are receiving everything they need.
Go and compare you will be surprised
