i love it feed it to youngsters and older horses and they all look well on it. there isnt a big difference in price for example i know a lot of people like topspec 20kg bag the same size as blue chip. you feed the same amounts so for a 16hh both recommend 500gms a day. top spec off the website is £30 and blue chip £36. £6 extra doesnt seem like a lot to me?

I'm with Wildpony; haven't known one it doesn't improve yet. (speaking personally that is) I've tried TS, gave it 3 bags to kick in but it didn't seem to suit mine so I scuttled back to Blue Chip and don't regret it! Well worth the extra for me - and I'm a tighta*se!

It is very good, but my vet made me take my horses off it. He said that feeding it constantly is not beneficial to the horse. Originally it was designed as an improver not a regular feed source. I was told that not all the nutrients are absorbed and you just provide your horse with expensive wee! However, it calmed mine and gave him a lovely shiney coat while he was on it.

I LOVE Blue Chip and by the time you add up whats in it I don't find it expensive. I feed Dynamic for my mare and pony has Lami-Light.L

I use it in my gelding's feed on a daily basis & it has done wonders for him. Yes it does seem expensive but he has such a small amount in his feed that it really isn't that costly. It's not meant to be fed by the scoopful like other feeds. Try a bag & see what you think.

Started mine on Blue Chip , changed to Equilibra for two bags by recommendation ,( which he promptly spat out every time I fed it to him) back on Blue Chip now and he's looking better again . Don't think it's that expensive really .

Over the years I have had 2 horses on BC. Firstly my veteran of 20yrs (TB ex racer) who needed weight on and was losing muscle mass - worked within 6 weeks and he stayed on BC until the end.

Second, recently new horse - bit lean on weight and muscle after trauma of box rest and move to new home - fed 2 bags over a period of a few weeks and job done - now lovely shiney coat, muscled-up and ideal weight - he is now off BC and maintaining on normal rations.

Definately worth it in IMO!

Thanks everyone, Im not too bothered about the cost and as you only feed a small amount of it to supplement their normal feed it doesnt seem 'that' expensive really.

Have ordered a few bags today, Will give it a try and let you know how it goes...

complete rubbish.
nothing amazing in it either, just a bloody good marketing company
sent our mild mannered old chap into a raving loony

I really really rate it.
I have only ever had the need for it once- Lillie was a nightmare to get/ keep weight on- we put her on Top Spec first and it didn't do a thing so put her on Blue Chip and the difference was amazing.
It does'nt work out hugely expensive either as you feed it by the mug rather than scoop. It probably saved me money in the end as we could cut down the huge amounts we were feeding her of everything else.

i really rate it too, my 20 year old looks fab , and it costs next to nothing if you break down how much you feed and how long it lasts ( id spend more than that on chocolate
