Does anyone feed bluechip lami light and what do you think of the results?? Do you feed it on its own or mix it with other feeds? What breed is your horse if you feed it?
Hey Sbomb,
Must say I love seeing your pics and your new little lad...they are absoultely adorable.
I feed top spec balancer and was told to just add in chaff...my horse is pretty fussy and believed he would not take to it so bought some extra expensive minty chaff...I dont know why I bothered as he bolts down the pellets asap and his coat and condition is looking fab.
The lami is just as good apparently, quite expensive but less calories..like most lami feeds I spose so I do not believe adding it too other feeds will be necessary...
Top spec is less money and does the same job as blue chip and they have a lami range too...
I didnt really believe something could do such wonders..I wont be without now...it takes about two weeks before you start noticing the difference...1 bag should last 6 weeks although I only feed small amounts anyhow and with your chaps should last about 8 - 9 weeks...
Yes I use bc lami light on 2 14hh+ New Forest Ponies. I've always treated them both as laminitics as they do well, although neither have had it thankfully.
Particularly delighted with the results on the chestnut (the other is grey) who has a fabulously glossy coat, is very calm and chilled (used to be on a magnesium calmer before we put them onto BCLL). I took them to a show last Sunday and OK I'm biased, but I thought they were two of the best looking animals there for glossy coats, condition and general overall well being (but they are NOT fat). I usually feed them one half pint glass full a day - half the recommended dose for their weight with a bit of D&H Fibergy chaff and an extra scoop of garlic and that's it apart from grass and hay.
