Blue Hors Matine to miss the 2008 Olympic Games

Yes it is a shame, i saw this announced on Eurodressage about a week or so ago. They are definately making the right decision for her tho, and its nice to see that they dont want to push her for it even tho its obviously the biggest comp in the world.

I was at WEG 2006 and their kur was amazing, the crowd were completely behind them and even boo'd when Anky received the higher score.

Yes they are a fantastic combination and watching the video always make my hairs stand on end I never tire of it. I too agree that they did the best test again in video.

I've watched the video so often, she's amazing, she really does dance.......it was a far nicer performance to watch than Anky's......BHM really flowed in comparison.
I have only seen them on video, so maybe I'm being unfair to Anky, but if the crowd booed, them maybe it looked the same on the night.

I hope she's back at least for the next worlds.

There were two suprises on the night, the other being Kyra's score. That seemed a tad low, as she had the other test that gave me goosebumps.

The crowd was amazing, they didnt just react to their own riders, it was very balanced.

riding a test like he did at WEG is what dreams are made of! She is truly stunning, glad they are saving her and cant wait to see her again at some point

How ironic that you should post that!! I JUST put it on my facebook this week for my polo/non horsey friends who'd been asking about dressage, to see, as I think it is the most amazing, beautiful display of horsemanship imaginable.

(and this coming from someone who doesn't generally do dressage

Very very sad news that she will miss the Olympics,

but here's hoping that the partnership is back in action soon.

gutting, but she's young enough that she could still make it to London 2012, conditions there will be much nicer for the horses.
