Friend Featherpower came over today to meet Blue for the fist time.
She was going to introduce him to join up and to offer suggestions as to how to cure Blue's penchent for invading humans' personal space.
Off went Featherpower across the paddock, head collar in hand. Blue walked towards her shoved his head in the head collar. Hmmm, no problems with catching then!
Next was getting him to walk nicely on a loose lead rein and follow the handler. He excels at this, on or off lead rein, so no problems there either
Then came the invading personal space issue. We reckoned the spinning lead rein or arm waving might just keep him back. Wrong! He is so unflappable and nosey he just walked even closer to see what we were doing!
Up to now I have come accross nothing he is scared of, apprehensive about or nervous of. In many ways this is brilliant but its making it hard work in other respects.
Two year old Fells, you've got to love em
On the plus side we seem to have sorted out his nipping, so its not all bad
