A friends blue ivor trailer - 505 stollen last night from livery yard in chippenham / hullavington area. The trailer had a lock and wheel clamps on it. Police think they drove a lorry in and picked the whole thing up onto the back.

Not even locks are keeping things safe!!!!

I know its a bit late to say this now, but I'll give you and who ever else has a double ifor williams trailer some advice...
Although clamps and locks can deter would-be theives. obviously nothing can stop the buggers taking what they want..ggrrr... anyway, this works apparantly?? Take the partition out of the trailer and store it separate from the trailer (and breast bars too). Why?? cos each partition has its own unique code on it to link it to your trailer. When the thief wants to get a new partition (so he can sell the trailer on) he can't cos he doesn't have the right code linking him as owner. A double trailer is no use without a partition and breast bars!! So if they see a trailer 'empty' the chances are more likely for them not to take it!
But don't be a fool and store the partition next to the trailer or in an obvious place!! - Can be a hastle, but surely its worth it to prevent your trailer going without consent!!??

ps - I have a single (501?) ifor, and I don't think there
is such a demand for them??
