For a horse which is usually 100% on the roads and hacked all the way to a show and back down part of the main road like an angel only a couple of weeks ago i was amazed at him Fri night!

Hacked down the lane to meet up with a friend and we then hacked to the woods and back again, first obstacle was 2 giant cardboard boxes in the bushes by the side of the road

obviously horse eating boxes...

Next was a pile of rubbish and someone's lifetime supply of lottery tickets flying down the lane...

weird some of the stuff people dump?!

Then we had the odd spook at stupid things like road signs

Then on the way back the travellers came past with a pony and trap which was fine until they cracked the whip just as they passed us

Then we were almost home and a tractor went past causing a panic and blue to leg it backwards, THEN on the mainish road there was JCB coming towards us which involved him spinning round and carting me the other direction
mad.gif

Both the tractor and the JCB i am not understanding as he has both in his field and so i'm not sure what his problem was this time

Then of course we had to go back past the boxes and the pile of crap...

He is usually SOOOOOOOOOOOO good i don't know what was up with him?!

Only thing i can think is that, we've gone that route countless times and he was playing up because some things were a bit different to the last time we went that way?

Could not believe it was the same horse that was 100% when i hacked him to Stilebridge and back only a couple of wks ago

Really?

Would that make that much of a difference to him?

I can feed him whatever hard feed and he still acts the same so would more grass make him different?

He has been out in the field thats been rested all winter for about a week now, but out with 3 others so not got it all to himself...
